  • Babcock's training business has been awarded the Investors in People Gold Award, the highest accolade awarded by the IiP
  • Emergency Service Awards - 'Supplier of the Year' award: for delivering improved efficiency and operational capability to the Metropolitan Police Service's vehicle fleet that travels over 63 million miles each year


In addition our approach to safety has been recognised externally:

  • Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards:
    • Babcock's Airports business was awarded the RoSPA President's Award, recognising 12 consecutive Gold Awards for occupational health and safety (2014)
    • RoSPA Gold Medal awards were won by Babcock's Power/Communications Infrastructure and Media Services businesses (2014)
    • RoSPA Gold awards were won by the Critical Services team at Bardon and Babcock subsidiary, Cavendish Nuclear (2014)
    • Babcock subsidiary, Cavendish Nuclear also won a RoSPA Gold Management of Occupational Road Risk Safety award (2014)
    • A RoSPA Silver award was presented to HM Naval Base Clyde (Babcock/MoD/Royal Navy) in 2013
  • In the British Safety Council's (BSC) International Safety Award Scheme, Babcock scooped a collection of awards recognising our operations at:
    • The Skill & Learning business unit (2014)
    • The Education team (2014)
    • Dounreay - throughBabcock's joint venture, the Cavendish Dounreay Partnership, which was awarded a distinction - the BSC's highest award category presented to only 46 companies world-wide (2014)
    • Our Rosyth site was presented with the BSC's  'Sword of Honour' for the eighth year in a row in 2013
