Communities in the Nordic region depend on the support that Babcock air ambulances provide every single day.
The local geography and the organisation of the healthcare systems in Norway, Finland and Sweden mean communities there rely on our specialist teams to transport patients from remote locations to hospitals, swiftly and safely, with the right in-flight care.
Babcock is proud to play a leading role in the region’s vital air ambulance network and of the trust that patients place in us. Our 220 skilled and dedicated staff operate 15 helicopters and six purpose adjusted airplanes, each crewed with highly-trained and very experienced professionals and equipped with the top class medical equipment.
Since operations began from Stockholm in 2001 the company has grown to become the premier provider of trusted air ambulance support in Scandinavia. Today we provide 24/7 coverage from 13 bases across Finland and Sweden. New services in Norway will see us provide an additional 11 fixed-wing aircraft, including a jet, to give communities there a new level of support from 2019.
