Our work on the HADES, LAFT2 and FSTA contracts are already looking ahead at how we can support the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in being more efficient, more innovative and more cost effective with their future aviation requirements.
HADES Technical Support Services Provision
The HADES contract delivers full technical support to the RAF’s aircraft and air stations across 20 locations in the UK. We ensure the ground support fleet is operating at maximum efficiency, providing vital support services such as refuelling bowsers, apron transport and fire and rescue operations so that the RAF are able to focus on their flying operations. Babcock operates the UK Light Aircraft Flying Task (LAFT2) fleet for the MOD, offering a complete flying training service to all three UK Armed Forces. Find out more.
FSTA (Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft)
The innovative FSTA contract is delivered by AirTanker, a consortium of leading Aerospace and Defence specialists; Babcock, Cobham, Airbus Group, Rolls-Royce and Thales. Operating from RAF Brize Norton, AirTanker delivers a unique air-to-air refuelling and air transport capability to the UK Armed Forces and their global partners. Find out more.
