Cavendish Nuclear secures £12M-£15M Dounreay Design and Engineering Framework

Cavendish Nuclear is pleased to announce that it has successfully secured a place on the Design and Engineering Services Framework for Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd (DSRL).

The framework, worth approximately £12M-£15M for a duration of up to 4 years, is for the provision of a range of design and engineering services to support projects including design, engineering validation, environmental restoration, construction management, commissioning support services, software modelling and waste strategy documentation.

Natalie Nisbet, Cavendish Nuclear’s Dounreay Business Director said, “Securing a place on this framework reflects the breadth of experience our people have of delivering decommissioning projects across the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) estate and internationally.

“We look forward to working collaboratively with our customer DSRL to ensure we understand their requirements and draw on our vast experience to identify fit-for-purpose solutions to deliver decommissioning safer, faster and at lower cost”

Shona Kirk, Framework Manager, based at Cavendish Nuclear’s office at Naver Business Centre in Thurso, said, “Cavendish Nuclear has a strong heritage in Caithness stretching back generations. We hope to build on this success to increase our presence in the area, facilitated through local recruitment.”
