Babcock is committed to stakeholder value creation and supporting communities by utilising local supply chain opportunities as far as possible.

Sourcing varies by sectors and business units therefore as an international organisation, Babcock defines ‘local’ as UK-based suppliers and they account for 68% of our spend. By operating in the community Babcock creates a significant growth opportunity for local suppliers of our products, goods and services.

We support a stable local economy and maintain good community relations by actively engaging with SMEs: 32% of our suppliers are SMEs and c2,400 are based in the UK.
