Energy consumption and emissions are reported for Babcock Group and can be found on page 57 of our Annual Report. The reporting period for our energy consumption and carbon emissions is the calendar year (01 January to 31 December), this is opposed to financial year as we have previously reported. The transition to calendar year reporting has allowed more time to collate, analyse and report our environmental data, which has improved the accuracy and completeness of our data sets. GRI 302-03	Full Disclosure	Energy intensity Energy intensity ratio for the organization. Organization-specific metric (the denominator) chosen to calculate the ratio. Types of energy included in the intensity ratio; whether fuel, electricity, heating, cooling, steam, or all. Whether the ratio uses energy consumption within the organization, outside of it, or both.	Scope 1, 2 and 3 sources have been divided by the annual revenue to provide the intensity ratio (tCO2e per £m). For more information see page 57 of our Annual Report.
GRI 302-04	Partial Disclosure	Reduction of energy consumption Amount of reductions in energy consumption achieved as a direct result of conservation and efficiency initiatives, in joules or multiples. Types of energy included in the reductions; whether fuel, electricity, heating, cooling, steam, or all. Basis for calculating reductions in energy consumption, such as base year or baseline, including the rationale for choosing it. Standards, methodologies, assumptions, and/or calculation tools used.	In line with our overall Carbon Reduction Plan and Plan Zero 40 approach, we are developing a range of targeted energy and carbon reduction plans across our operations at local site level. We are also developing a centralised Environmental Data Management System across all operations, which will aid in providing a strong evidence base for further targeted energy reduction schemes and enable detailed KPI monitoring.
