Babcock’s training business rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted inspectors

We are delighted to announce that Babcock’s training business has received a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted, following a full inspection last month.

The inspection covered our delivery in a number of business areas including our support to the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade, along with the civil training business.

This grade was achieved for Babcock’s overall effectiveness, as well as our quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and apprenticeships offering.

The inspection report also highlighted how “leaders have developed a curriculum which is aligned effectively to meet the needs of employers” and as a result of this, “apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that they need to be successful in their chosen industry.”

Joanna Rayson, Managing Director of Babcock’s training business, said: “I want to thank all of the team who were involved for their hard work and dedication, and am pleased that the outcome is reflective of this.

“This ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted sets us up in a strong position and highlights our focus on delivering a truly world-class training capability offering for our customers.”
