Babcock provides aerial emergency medical services and fire fighting for the national government in Portugal.
Since 2000, we have supported the National Health Service (INEM) with a 24/7 helicopter service which helps more than 1.000 people every year.
We are also one of the main providers of fire fighting services in Portugal, supporting these efforts with both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. A team of almost 100 highly trained pilots and engineers fights the fires every summer protecting our environment.
Finally, Babcock has a training centre for aircraft maintenance technicians, certified in 2012 as Part147 Centre by the Portuguese aviation authority. To date, we have delivered more than 120 training courses with over 700 students attending them.
