Babcock has a proven track record of delivering high-integrity, precision manufacturing for strategically important global programmes.
We are a recognised leader in the delivery of complex products and systems for global submarine programmes. This includes our role in the US-UK Common Missile Compartment programme, where we deliver extremely complex missile tubes at advanced manufacturing facilities, including techniques such as robotic welding.
Our Weapons Handling and Launch Systems are deployed on submarines operated by the UK and several allied nations, including Canada, Australia, Spain and South Korea.
We have also significantly contributed to major national infrastructure and defence programmes, including the Royal Navy’s Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier programme and Heathrow Sellafield Terminal 5, applying our expertise to complex, high-value manufacturing challenges.

We are a key supplier of missile tubes to the US Navy’s Columbia-class submarine programme and a strategic partner to HII, supporting the expansion of submarine industrial capability and contributing to the long-term ambitions of the AUKUS partnership.
In the UK, we play a critical role in the Dreadnought programme, delivering the Weapons Handling and Launch Systems, Submerged Signal Ejectors, and UK Common Missile Compartment missile tubes for the Royal Navy’s next generation of ballistic missile submarines. These capabilities are central to maintaining the UK’s Continuous At-Sea Deterrent for decades to come.
