Skills and experience
Catherine joined Babcock in 2026 as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to Babcock, Catherine served as Group CTO for FTSE 100 company Halma plc, where she had global responsibility for Digital Solutions, Enterprise IT, Cyber, and Group Procurement. She was also part of Halma’s Executive Board. Prior to Halma, Catherine founded and served as board member and CTO of Telecoms-specialist software company Tribold (later acquired by Sigma Systems in 2013), and then both Chief Strategy Officer and CTO of Sigma Systems. She began her career at Accenture, working with clients globally on their technology transformation needs. Catherine has extensive international experience in technology, engineering, digital transformation, and innovation leadership, having successfully led large-scale technology and digital programmes, driven business transformation, and helped organisations to harness emerging technologies to deliver greater value for customers and stakeholders. Catherine graduated with Honors (Distinction) from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), with a concentration in Finance. Alongside her full-time executive role, Catherine has also served as Non-Executive Director (NED) and Advisory Board member for multiple global organisations.
