Tackling climate change

We deliver essential services across the globe, and with that comes a responsibility to reduce the carbon emissions of our operations. We are committed to reducing our climate impact on the path to net-zero. This isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a powerful opportunity to generate long-term value and create positive impact for our people and planet.

In 2021, we launched our decarbonisation strategy, Plan Zero 40 and committed to delivery of a 2030 Science Based Target in line with a 1.5-degree pathway, delivering Net Zero across our own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2040 and delivering total Net Zero (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 2050.

In 2024, we were proud to be one of the first international defence organisations to gain validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for our science-based near and long-term emissions reduction targets aligned with reaching net-zero no later than 2050.

Curious about climate?

We’ve developed a climate awareness e-learning tool to help our people and partners understand more about what climate change is, why it’s happening and what we can do about it. Watch this film to learn more:
