Apprenticeship Provider of the Year

Babcock was delighted to be crowned ‘Apprenticeship Provider of the Year: Engineering & Manufacturing’ at the inaugural Annual Apprenticeship Awards gala dinner in March.

Part of the Annual Apprenticeship Conference in Birmingham run by FE Week, the awards sponsored by the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) recognised excellence amongst apprenticeship providers and employers across a number of categories and industries.

When it came to the Babcock entry the judges were particularly impressed by our ‘exceptional’ 95% timely success rates, bespoke technical solutions and commitment to diversity. This was based on the work done at the Babcock Engineering Academy at HMS Sultan in Gosport, Hampshire.

Graded Outstanding by Ofsted, the Academy meets the highly exacting standards of the nuclear industry in order to deliver suitable qualified, competent and compliant apprentices into the safety-critical sector. Read more about the Academy here and learn about our work for nuclear customers here.
