Neal Misell

Skills and experience

Neal leads the Nuclear business, covering both defence and civil markets. Neal joined Babcock in 2010 as part of the acquisition of VT Group. Following successful MD roles in Land and Aviation, Neal was appointed CEO of Aviation in March 2020. At that point the business operated across 12 countries with a mix of civil emergency services and defence contracts. Neal led the disposal of the majority of the civil aviation business which concluded in February 2023 as a key part of the Group strategy to focus on defence markets. Neal was subsequently appointed CEO of Mission Systems in August 2023, with a focus on growing the technology and product offerings across the Group, and led that business until March 2026.
