Babcock enjoys successful, collaborative relationships with navies around the globe. As the UK’s leading naval support business, we have been providing decades of support to the Royal Navy and Ministry of Defence. Similarly, since 2008, we have been a trusted provider of critical naval in-service support in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Drawing on unrivalled depth of naval and nuclear engineering know-how, our teams safely and efficiently support- and are trusted to deliver- complex and critical programmes. Among the major outcomes, we ensure customers benefit from increased asset availability and significantly reduced operating costs.

We operate within particular market segments; naval platforms (including submarines and surface ships), naval infrastructure, design and technology-led programmes and specialist engineering services and systems, delivering services including naval base management and, base-porting, refitting, refuelling and decommissioning submarines, maintaining and refitting warships and around 50% of the design and final assembly of the next generation of Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers.

We deliver the highest standards of military training and support, delivering more than 465,000 training days to more than 9,000 Royal Navy service personnel every year. We take an innovative approach to provide significant improvements in the efficiency and delivery of our services.

Our Maritime Capability Partner approach means we have expanded our reach to provide equipment and services to the US Navy and Coastguard, the Royal Canadian Navy, the Australian Navy, the Spanish Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy. As well as providing in-country support, we pride ourselves on our ability to support customers directly on individual programmes worldwide.

We work hard to improve efficiency, reduce infrastructure costs and increase service availability of the warship and submarine fleets, to meet the expectations and operational needs of our customers, today and in the future.
