You’ll make sure the numbers tell the real story. Accounting at Babcock sets policies and controls, produces statutory and management reporting, and safeguards our assets – enabling leaders to make confident decisions on programmes that matter.
You’ll work on: month-end close and consolidation, technical accounting, audit support, controls and compliance, and continuous improvement across reporting processes.
You’ll thrive here if: you’re detail-driven, collaborative, and keen to turn data into clear, decision-ready insight.
Be the bridge between finance and technology. The team owns and evolves our finance platforms and data models, improving integrity, security and usability, which allows insight to flow quickly to the people who need it.
You’ll work on: ERP enhancements, master-data governance, controls, user enablement, and integrations that connect finance with the wider business.
You’ll thrive here if: you love solving problems with technology and turning complex processes into simple, scalable solutions.
Help keep the wheels turning. This team runs accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and travel and expenses, making sure every transaction is accurate, timely and well-controlled.
You’ll work on: invoice processing, reconciliations, payment runs, cash application, vendor and customer query resolution, and process automation.
You’ll thrive here if: you’re organised, customer-focused, and enjoy making processes faster and better.
Turn data into direction. FP&A partners with leaders to plan, forecast and analyse performance. Analysts challenge assumptions, highlighting risks and shaping choices that deliver outcomes.
You’ll work on: budgeting and forecasting, performance dashboards, scenario modelling, and investment appraisals for programmes across our sectors.
You’ll thrive here if: you’re curious, commercial and comfortable telling a clear story with numbers.
Drive value within our programmes and functions. As trusted partners, we combine financial insight with a deep understanding of the operation to support strategy, delivery and long-term planning.
You’ll work on: business cases, pricing and margin improvement, cost control, portfolio reviews, and ‘what-if’ scenarios to inform decisions.

Help our business manage risk smartly. The team provides independent assurance on controls and risk management, and partners with leaders to strengthen governance across complex, long-term programmes.
You’ll work on: risk assessments, audit planning and fieldwork, control design and remediation, and reporting to senior leadership.
You’ll thrive here if: you’re objective, analytical and good at building constructive relationships.
Tell Babcock’s story to the market. Investor relations connect our strategy, performance and outlook with shareholders and analysts. This supports transparent, timely communication for a FTSE-listed company.
You’ll work on: results announcements and presentations, Q&A and market briefings, analyst engagement, peer and market analysis, investor days, and disclosure governance.
You’ll thrive here if: you’re a clear writer, confident communicator, and comfortable synthesising complex information into a compelling narrative.
Look after colleagues’ long-term financial wellbeing. The Pensions team oversees scheme governance and operations, works with trustees and advisors, and ensures accurate accounting and compliant reporting.
You’ll work on: scheme operations and supplier oversight, funding and investment liaison, member communications, data quality, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting inputs.
You’ll thrive here if: you care about member outcomes, have strong stakeholder skills, and enjoy detail with purpose.
Make sure Babcock meets its tax obligations responsibly and efficiently across multiple jurisdictions; supporting sustainable growth while managing risk and compliance.
You’ll work on: corporate tax compliance and reporting, incentives and reliefs, transfer pricing, transaction support, and tax risk management.
You’ll thrive here if: you balance technical depth with clear communication and practical advice.
Oversee our liquidity and financial risk. Treasury manages cash, funding and financial market exposures so the business has the stability and flexibility to deliver for our customers.
You’ll work on: cash and working capital, debt and investments, FX and interest-rate risk, guarantees, and bank/investor relationships.
