Babcock supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2021

Babcock International, the aerospace and defence company, is delighted to support National Apprenticeship Week 2021 (England). Babcock currently has over 1,000 apprentices on programme across the Group, including 338 new joiners this year fulfilling a range of roles across our Marine, Nuclear, Land and Aviation sectors.

Now in its 14th year, the theme of this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is ‘Build the Future’’, focusing on how employers train, retain and achieve through apprenticeships. To mark the beginning of the week, the company is publishing exciting new apprenticeship content on its website at https://www.babcockinternational.com/careers/apprenticeships/ – together with information on future opportunities for apprentices.

The page promotes the excellent career prospects Babcock offers across its UK sites and the nationally recognised qualifications achievable through its programmes, as well as case studies and instructions on how to apply for apprenticeships.

Throughout National Apprenticeship Week we’ll be sharing some of our inspiring apprenticeship stories on LinkedIn, highlighting how our trainees bring positive benefits to our business.

David Lockwood, Babcock’s CEO said: “Our apprentices make an invaluable contribution to the business. National Apprenticeship Week provides a great opportunity to recognise, celebrate and share in their individual achievements. We invest in our future by having a strong talent pipeline and training programmes that challenge, enthuse and equip individuals with the skills they need for rewarding careers, which in turn helps to build and grow our industry.”
