Babcock Wins Training Quality Award

Babcock’s training business has won the ‘Provider of Quality Training’ award at the Scottish Training Federation’s annual awards.

The award was announced at the Scottish Training Federation Annual Conference, Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 1st October. The theme of the conference was ‘Developing Scottish Skills for Tomorrow’s World’ with an emphasis on the importance of the Modern Apprenticeship programme.

The ‘Provider of Quality Training’ accolade was awarded to Babcock in recognition of our relentless ambition to deliver professional, efficient, innovative, flexible and responsive workforce development solutions that are focused on meeting the needs of our employer partners.

Babcock is one of the UK’s leading and largest providers of apprenticeship training, with over 800 learners on programme across Scotland. Our highly committed team, investment in e-learning resources and partnering approach to programme design and delivery were recognised by the judges as making a positive impact on clients’ performance.

Dianne Travis, Director – Skills and Guidance said: “We are delighted to accept this award in recognition of the quality of our Apprenticeship programmes in Scotland. Our goal is to work with employers to understand what they need and to always keep their interests at the forefront of solution design. We set ourselves challenging targets and ensure we underpin delivery with rigorous evaluation and review processes, delivering a continued cycle of continuous improvement.”

Two of Babcock’s clients in Scotland were also successful at the Awards with ASDA winning ‘Large Employer of the Year’ and Stonegate Pub Company winning the ‘Innovation in Training’ award for its workforce development programmes, which include the Babcock-delivered Apprenticeship programme.
